Mauri Activator

Interactive installation at Te PAPA Museum of New zealand

In Māori Culture, mauri is the life force that exists in all things in nature, and promotes abundance. The Mauri Activator is powered by visitors working together and sharing there own mauri. 6 Touch sensors, in an intricate hand-carved wooden plinth, acts as the conduit for activating the mauri, immersing the visitors in living abundance. The experience was build in Touchdesigner using a combination of real wildlife footage and realtime rendered 3d and effects.
